Leadership for Environmental Justice: Changing Food Systems through Access, Equity, & Empowerment
What does it look like to cultivate an equitable community? How can we transform the broken nature of the modern food system through access and empowerment?

Join the Wake Forest Office of Sustainability, the Program for Leadership & Character, and Piedmont Environmental Alliance for a virtual keynote lecture on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 7:30pm EST with Brahm Ahmadi, food justice advocate and CEO of Community Foods Market in West Oakland, CA.

Ahmadi will talk about environmental justice and community-based leadership through the context of his own compelling leadership journey — from activism and community organizing to nearly 20 years spent addressing the systemic issue of food insecurity through a social entrepreneurial approach.

Oct 28, 2020 07:30 PM in Eastern Time (US and Canada)
